Gaga Apologizes, Haus Labs Bronzer Expands to 11 Shades

Lady Gaga has publicly apologized to beauty creator GOLLORIA after Haus Labs was criticized for the limited shade range of its upcoming bronzer and for how the brand responded to her review.

What Happened

In May, GOLLORIA (Golloria George), a beauty creator known for reviewing makeup for deeper skin tones, posted a review of Haus Labs’ upcoming Sun Dipped Bronzing Veil. The bronzer was set to launch in just six shades. After swatching the darkest options, she said the line didn’t serve people with deeper skin tones.

The situation got worse when Haus Labs asked her to take the review down, saying it broke a product embargo. GOLLORIA disputed that in a follow-up video, and many fans and beauty followers backed her.

Gaga Responds

Today (October 1), Gaga addressed the controversy in a statement shared on Haus Labs’ Instagram. She said the brand had made “the wrong decision” with the original shade range. She also acknowledged that the way GOLLORIA’s feedback was handled was not how a creator or any customer should be treated, and she apologized directly.

The Bronzer Is Getting More Shades

Gaga confirmed that the launch was paused so the team could widen the range. The Sun Dipped Bronzing Veil will now launch soon with 11 shades, developed to work across every skin tone.
