Lady Gaga and her fiancé Michael Polansky have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Rose Bean Polansky.
According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, Rose was born on June 9, 2026. TMZ was the first to report the news.
Rose’s first name has a beautiful connection to Gaga’s career. An insider told PEOPLE that it was inspired by “La Vie En Rose,” the classic Gaga sang in a scene fans still talk about from A Star Is Born (2018).
The song clearly means a lot to her. Gaga has a large tattoo down her spine of a single long-stemmed rose, with the words “la vie en rose” written in script beside it.
Her middle name, Bean, is believed to honor Carl Bean, the gospel singer and activist whose work inspired Gaga’s anthem “Born This Way.” For a song that has meant so much to the LGBTQ+ community and to Little Monsters everywhere, it’s a meaningful tribute to pass on to her daughter.
Gaga and Michael’s representatives have not officially commented on the baby’s name or sex, and the couple has kept this chapter of their lives private.
