I’ve seen the photos and Gaga looks great. As a live artist, she can do it too. The atmosphere will have been buzzing there, even if it was raining heavily, I believe. Cool for a Friday morning if you were going to work and saw Gaga performing. I’d have stayed and been late for work!

I think it was a brilliant feminist statement for GaGa to lay on the piano, play it, and sing at the same time. “Look at me, I’m a gorgeous woman who can be beautiful and tickle the ivory.” Also I loved that she covered Ella Fitzgerald. I would buy a whole album of standers covered by her. So fantastic. Made me think she could one day do broadway, or a musical film maybe. Can you imagine if she played Judy Garland in the upcoming biopic? Gay heads would explode. Explode I tell ya’! I just love this woman more and more everyday.

I loved Someone To Watch Over Me, Bad Romance, You And I and Alejandro. But I didn’t really like Teeth. I think the song is boring and not catchy at all! SO PLEASE GUYS, tell me that what the reporter said at the beginning “She is performing her single Teeth” is wrong! I mean, she has so many BRILLIANT tracks in The Fame Mons†er, while Teeth is so bad! In my opinion, Dance In The Dark would be a great choice for he next single. What do you think guys?

Hello, Eduardo.
My favourite track off the ‘Fame Monster’ is Monster itself, closely followed by Dance In The Dark.
I like Teeth a lot, Gaga howling and yelling in that on the album is a big turn-on!, lol!, but it’s all personal choice. Bad Romance was one of the best songs of the last year imo.
If Teeth is the next single, great too, imo. It’s all up to Gaga. There isn’t a bad song on the album.
I must catch You And I, haven’t heard it yet, only because my phone ain’t so smart! But I will do soon.
Cheers, friend!

I love “Teeth” too. It’s fantastic. Whenever someone claims Gaga is not creative, I’m like, “OMG, have you heard ‘Teeth’?!?!” It’s a mash-up of a Native American chant and gospel-tinged r&b. What’s cooler than that?

Her performances were AMAZING. I was put off by watching the Today show and all their commercials though – and cutting to the audience throughout was also off-putting. But Gaga is gorgeous and so so talented and hot!

On the Formichetti blog, well worth a look, she has ‘suits by Emporio Armani, rain by God’! I like that too.

@SKANKgum Only she’s not a feminist. After being asked if she was a feminist she replied, “I’m not a feminist. I hail men. I love men. I celebrate beer, and bars, and muscle cars.” -Gaga

@Nexted Actually since then she has said in many interviews that she is in fact a feminist. Just a matter of research.

@SKANKgum I’m surprised you didn’t quote something in response to what I said… Anyways, there seems to be two uses of the word feminist, and in the context of the interview quote I posted I believe it’s clear that she meant to say that she isn’t the type of “feminist” who is actively and purposefully trying to protest and make “feminist” statements. She meant to tell the interviewer that she was only making a point for point’s sake. As for the definitive use of the word “feminist”, I have no doubt she believes in the equality of sexes. Who doesn’t these days??
I highly doubt she laid on that piano to make a “feminist” statement in the way you think she did. Those kind of “feminists” usually have an irrational dislike and sensitivity towards men, she’s not like that. She’s on top of the world, and in my opinion she has no equal atm, she is a living legend, so why would she feel the need to make petty statements about women rights? If anything she’s a prime example of exactly how far women can go in today’s society. Compared to how things used to be there’s really nothing holding women back these days besides themselves.

@Nexted So many things to say…
1. I meant to imply that it was an unintentional feminist statement. Not that it was a deliberate action on her part, sorry if I wasn’t clear.
2. You need a quote? Ok here ya’ go. “I am a feminist. I reject wholeheartedly the way we are taught to perceive women. The beauty of women, how a woman should act or behave. There is something mind-controlling about the way we’re taught to view women. My work, both visually and musically, is a rejection of all those things. And most importantly a quest. Perhaps we can make women’s rights trendy. Strength, feminism, security, the wisdom of the woman. Let’ make that trendy.”
3. There are not two different uses for the word feminist like you claim there are. There is the reality of what a feminist is, and the stereotype of what a feminist is. You, like many, choose to believe that if someone labels themselves a feminist they must be a man hating angry bitch. Which is like any other stereotype, WRONG. I am a man and a feminist.
4. This statement blew me away, you said…”She’s on top of the world, and in my opinion she has no equal atm, she is a living legend, so why would she feel the need to make petty statements about women rights?”
A petty statement about women’s rights?? Maybe because there are still many women in the world who have their clits hacked off by angry men who think they shouldn’t enjoy sex. Maybe because there are women who are forced to cover themselves head to toe, caged in fabric, because men decided that is appropriate for them. Maybe because here in America women still do not have equal wages. So who better then Lady GaGa, currently the most famous woman on the planet, to make a statement about women’s rights?

@SKANKgum You gave me a quote that proves that I was wrong, but I’m not hypersensitive like you, I’ll back down if you make a good point. I’m not going to argue back like you did about the meaning of the word feminist. There ARE two different meanings in today’s culture it’s an undeniable fact. You said I should have done some research, well I advise you that you may want to do the same when it comes to this. Try doing a google search for ‘Lady Gaga feminist Ms Magazine’ they talk about it within the blog. I’m sure you could find it all over the place.
This is no different than a political discussion, neither of us know exactly why she does what she does. I don’t believe she laid on the piano as part of a feminist agenda. You like/love her because she’s a feminist, and you want to see her actions as being feminist statements. I love her because she’s an artist “above all” and since she’s claimed to be an “artist above all” I often see her actions as something artistically beautiful/creative. I am an artist. I am a feminist also, but only according to the definitive use of the word. I am all for women’s rights and equality, I, probably… no… I do, hate those angry men you talked about more than you do, but I refuse to see her actions as being part of some feminist agenda because that would belittle the beauty and purity of her performance art in my eyes. I don’t think you should feminists should push their viewpoints on people like they do, therefore I was wrong to push what I said and I thought on you, believe what you want. I was just annoyed.
